Printmaking with Sarah McMahon - This is a beginner-friendly printmaking class designed just for kids – no experience needed! Young artists will design, carve, ink, and create their own original prints in a fun, hands-on environment. All materials are provided, and kids will get to take home their own unique prints.

Behavior is a powerful form of communication and often becomes the primary way people living with dementia express their needs and feelings. Join Sopris Lodge's Executive Director, Marie Herr, and HomeCare & Hospice of the Valley for an interactive demonstration and talk on responding to dementia-related behaviors. Learn practical tools and strategies to decode behavioral messages, identify common triggers and respond effectively to everyday caregiving challenges. Kids ages 6-11 are invited to explore, experiment, and create in our monthly Open Art Studio. This drop-in program offers a variety of art materials and creative stations where children can make art at their own pace - no instructions, no pressure, just imagination and fun. All materials provided.

Guided by the Dungeon Master, players will work together to solve puzzles, explore fantastical landscapes, and shape the story through their choices. Come to meet new friends, try something creative, and enjoy an evening of play. All levels of experience are welcome, but basic familiarity with D&D is helpful.

Material Haiku MMXXVI by Gaby Oshiro turns her divergent exploration on the evocative power of materials, techniques, and the balance between; subtraction-addition, destruction-creation, chaos-order. A painting is an aesthetic object with its own expressive power that acquires ontological status.
Kindred Spirits is a two-person exhibition by ceramic artist Christine Anderson and abstract painter Benjamin Strawn who share a forty-plus year friendship centered on the exploration and interplay of artistic ideas. Their work embodies their shared creative vision, their love and care for each other, and their emotive depth.

The opening reception will be Friday, April 17 from 5-7pm with an artist talk beginning at 5:30pm. Both shows are on display through May 21.

An engaging time where you and your child are invited to listen to stories, participate in large motor movement, experience sensory activities, and be able to interact with other children and caregivers. This is geared to children 0-3 years old.
