Get ready to explore, experiment, and discover! Join us every first and third Tuesday afternoon for a hands-on science workshop at the library. Each session features engaging activities and experiments led by a high school apprentice from the Aspen Science Center apprenticeship program. Kids will dive into fun projects in science, technology, engineering, and math — building curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving skills along the way. Free and all materials will be provided. Designed for kids ages 6-12.
Goodman brings a dynamic blend of classic rock to the stage, with plenty of Stevie Ray Vaughan favorites, timeless oldies, modern hits, and everything in between. With more than 20 years of musical experience, he has mastered the art of reading the room and creating a set that feels fresh every time. He never relies on a set list — instead, he lets the energy of the crowd guide the show, making each performance unique, engaging, and unforgettable.

When recycling plastic in Carbondale, stick to bottles, tubs, jars, and jugs. No clamshells, plastic bags, coffee cups, or takeout containers. If it's not a bottle, tub, jar, or jug, toss it in the trash. These items can't be sorted and there is no end-user market for them.
Recyclables in Carbondale shouldn't be bagged. Just place them loose in a bin. If your recyclables are in grocery or garbage bags, they're likely being thrown in the landfill instead. Bagging your recyclables may even cause entire loads to be rejected. This is because bags cause jams in the sorting machines which can slow down lines and cause costly damage. Other items that aren't recyclable are bubble wrap, food wraps, and garden hoses.
