Nick Isenberg

Nick Isenberg is an experienced journalist living in the Roaring Fork Valley. He is determined to express his craft as a lively storyteller no matter the obstacle. Even legal blindness and partial deafness can't stop Nicky News from sharing information for and about real and diverse people. Nick premiered "The Tactile Traveler" as a new public affairs show on KDNK on July 30, 2019.

Episode 3 of The Tactile Traveler features an array of stories produced by Nick Isenberg and KDNK News Director Lucas Turner. These include information on becoming a political delegate, Jason Strother's experience of running a marathon with a guide dog, the app OverTHERE that helps blind people know what is in front of them, questions to ask a driver when getting dropped off, and Nick's trip to the ocularist for a new prosthetic eye.

This second installment of The Tactile Traveler features reporter Nick Isenberg visiting the Braille Trail on Independence Pass, plus we learn about the National Federation of the Blind Convention and a reporter from the Philippines tells us how blind people survive typhoons.
