En este episodio de El Sol Habla, entrevistamos a Francisco Nevarez, mejor conocido como Paco, maestro de Folklórico de Aspen Santa Fe Ballet y a una de sus alumnas, Ruby que viene desde Santa Fe, Nuevo México. Paco y 17 de sus estudiantes se preparan para viajar a Cuba este sábado para representar a Mexico y EEUU a través del baile.

In this episode of El Sol Habla, host Vanessa Porras interviews Francisco Nevarez-Burgueño—better known as Paco—Folklórico Director of Aspen Santa Fe Ballet. We also hear from one of his students, Ruby, who comes from Santa Fe, New Mexico. Paco and 17 of his students are preparing to travel to Cuba this Saturday to represent Mexico and the U.S. through dance.

Vanessa is a bilingual and bicultural printmaking artist, educator, and writer. She's passionate about mental health, environmental advocacy, cultural equity, and education as a means to create bridges between the Latino and Anglo communities. She previously served as a board member for The Sopris Sun, where she is now the Editor for the Spanish insert, El Sol del Valle, and writes a monthly column, Al No Artista.
