Garfield County Commissioner Tom Jankovsky, who refuses to take a stance on the separation of church and state and once claimed the virus that causes Covid-19 was created in a lab in Wuhan in order for the Chinese government to "knock down" the American economy and "take out" former President Donald Trump, is up for reelection this fall. He recently spoke to Glenwood Springs City Council regarding a trail network behind the Glenwood Wal-Mart that would be installed in order to displace unhoused people who camp on the land.

KDNK Special Assignment Reporter Down Valley Troy is super amped to bring listeners today's news from the Roaring Fork Valley and greater Mountain West, including the Colorado Secretary of State's Office investigating possible campaign finance violations by Garfield County Sheriff Lou Vallario for his advocacy on behalf of U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Silt). Also, Garfield County Commissioner Tom Jankovsky wants to displace unhoused campers behind the Glenwood Springs Wal-Mart by building a trail network that would discourage marginalized people from sleeping on the land. Meanwhile, reporter Hattison Rensberry has the details on a suicide awareness and prevention walk that takes place at the Glenwood Springs Community Center this Saturday, Sept. 24.

Morgan is KDNK's News Director. He comes to KDNK with public radio passion and experience. He was a news host, reporter, and opps guy at APR and also worked with Pitkin County for a couple of years. He says that getting back to public radio and reporting is where he wants to be.
