KDNK's Morgan Neely has Friday's news, including a breakdown of this weekend's activities at the 75th annual Leadville Ski Joring Event. And, Holy Cross, the rural electric cooperative based in the Roaring Fork Valley, is updating its rate structure, which might result in slightly higher bills for members. Also, Roaring Fork’s Board of Education recently fired the district’s Chief of Human Resources, and she says that pointing out issues with Superintendent Jesús Rodríguez’s contract led to her termination. Finally today, hundreds of high school students marched on the State Capitol to demand action against gun violence; the demonstration follows the killing of one of their classmates.

Morgan is KDNK's News Director. He comes to KDNK with public radio passion and experience. He was a news host, reporter, and operations/programming director at KAJX-Aspen, and has extensive experience working in municipal government.
