One of the things Barbara Dills learned, that has been the most sustaining was from her Lakota family and then again from River People along the Columbia. “One can and kind of must hold the heavy thing right along with joy and celebration and dancing.” So what is joyous and celebratory becomes the balance to all the heaviness and that perspective helped her heal.
