Convenient parking is located just down the block at the parking garage at 9th Street & Cooper Avenue or in the 7th Street lot just one block west.

The Arbol Farmers Market is a year-round market in Paonia that accepts SNAP and Double Up Bucks and offers local organic produce, flowers, fruit, herbs, honey, meat, breads, artisan goods, and more. One of the highlights of our market is a donations-based, locally-sourced meal prepared by the Learning Council.

Our summer market runs every Tuesday from May 13th to October 14th at Paonia Town Park, from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM for most of the season, with hours shifting to 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM starting September 2nd. It’s a lively community event with live music, wood-fired pizza, and educational opportunities throughout the season.

Knitters and crocheters (and any other yarn workers) come together to work on and discuss projects, yarn, and techniques. Open to all; bring your own supplies and works-in-progress.

There’s no right or wrong way to move—just your way. Whether you’re a seasoned mover or trying something new, Nia is easy to follow, fun to explore, and welcoming to all bodies and experience levels. Wear comfy clothes you can move in, bring a water bottle, and kick off your shoes—though footwear is always optional.

Come Color Your World with our Grab & Go Art Kits! Every other Wednesday during Basalt Regional Library's Summer Reading Program we will have art kits available for pickup for teen patrons. Join us for BikeThere! Garfield County, a county-wide biking celebration reimagined for Garfield County. Held annually on Colorado’s Bike to Work Day, BikeThere! encourages everyone to “bike there” - to the library, the park, the store, or wherever the day takes you.

Six mini-events will take place at Garfield County Library branches in Carbondale*, Glenwood Springs, New Castle, Silt, Rifle, and Parachute*, with activities like:

🔧 Free bike tune-ups (at select locations)
🎉 Fun booths, food, and games
🎨 Bike decorating & kids' activities
🎁 Prize drawings including an e-bike

Biking anywhere counts—and it helps reduce traffic, supports healthier communities, and cuts emissions. BikeThere to be part of the movement!
