114th Annual Potato Day Event This years theme is "Growing Together" A celebration of the formation of the Colorado Potato Growers' Exchange--formed in 1923 from local cooperatives, and housed in the builing on 4th and Main street. Potato Day has now become Potato Days with a weekend full of events and activities. A contra dance will take place on First Friday, October 6th at the Carbondale Recreation Center, Saturday, Octobe 7th will start with Ross Montesorri's Tater Trot Fun Run and Carbondale Rotary Club's pancake breakfast in Chacos Park. The annual Potato Day Parade will take place at 10:30 and end in Sopris Park for Cowboy Coffee, a pit bar-b-q lunch, farmer and artisan market booths, KDNK Record Sale, live music, traditional games and a cornhole tournament. Sunday, October 8will have a Gymkhana event at the Rodeo grounds and the Ride the Ranches bike ride and Aspen Valley Land Trust's Party in the Pasture at Coffman Ranch.
