Sopris Lodge at Carbondale Senior Living has partnered with LIFT-UP to host the third annual community food drive benefiting individuals and families in Carbondale from Oct. 21 to Nov. 15.
Non-perishable food donations (no expired foods) will be accepted between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily in collection boxes at Sopris Lodge’s main entrance. The retirement community is located at 295 Rio Grande Ave., in Carbondale.
This year’s wish list items include:
• Pasta (NOT WHOLE WHEAT) – Spaghetti, Elbow Macaroni, Egg Noodles, etc.• White and Brown Rice• Condiments – Mustard, Ketchup, Mayonnaise, Relish• Diced & Whole Tomatoes• Tomato Sauce• Spaghetti Sauce (JARS)• Jam/Jelly• Flour• Sugar• Maza• Honey• Chicken Stock (BOXED)• Canned Peaches and Pears• Unsweetened Cereal• Boxed Crackers• Pickles• Olives

"Women (Im)Print" showcases hand-printed works by two local women who are both friends and collaborators; Katie Browne and Bailey Haines. The title is a play on words; printmaking as a mode of creative expression, and a nod to the imprints people and places leave in our lives, and vice versa.
"Community Service Print Projects" is a group exhibition of work by student-artists at The Project Shop, a local nonprofit arts organization. This program engages student artists to express their voices on critical issues, demonstrating how art can encourage conversation and connection within our communities.
Both shows are on display September 27-November 1 with an opening reception on October's First Friday 5:00-7:00pm with an artist talk at 5:30pm.Both shows are generously sponsored by Robert Schultz Consulting.

Learn python (the most useful coding language) in a fun, engaging, and casual environment. You will be amazed at how fast you learn and how much you can create. Perfect for 8th-10th grade and any experience level. Every second and fourth Thursday of the month.
This course is designed to review and build on skills learned in previous climbing classes, introduce older children to those concepts, and allow students to have fun and build confidence as they progress at their own pace through technical skills practice and technique-focused activities. This course is open to all ability levels. Please note each month is its own session and must be registered for individually. (9-13yrs)
An introductory climbing class for younger children and first-time climbers. This course focuses on building confidence and basic technique through games and fun activities while teaching safe practices, fundamental vocabulary, and an age-appropriate introduction to climbing equipment.

An engaging time where you and your child are invited to listen to stories, participate in large motor movement, experience sensory activities, and be able to interact with other children and caregivers. This is geared to children 0-3 years old.
