Let's get exploring! Embark on an exciting adventure into the depths of caves with hidden mysteries, activities, and more!

CaveSim is an educational experience that makes learning effortless and fun. With amazingly realistic cave simulation trailers, CaveSim teaches kids of all ages about science, conservation, math, history, and many other subjects. With 60 feet of tunnels to explore, a cave rescue activity using real stretchers, STEM lessons with working cave rescue phones, and games about bat biology, this program teaches participants how to interact safely with caves and the world around us. This is an all-day program open to kids and families of all ages! This program will be presented in both English and Spanish. Registration is not required.

Con experiencias de simulación sorprendentes y realistas sobre grutas y cuevas, CaveSim ayuda a estudiantes de todas las edades a aprender sobre ciencia, conservación, matemáticas, historia y muchas otras materias. Con 60 pies de túneles por explorar, una actividad de rescate en el interior de una cueva utilizando camillas reales, actividades tipo STEM (ciencia, tecnología, ingeniería y matemáticas) con teléfonos de rescate que realmente funcionan, y juegos relacionados con la biología de los murciélagos, este programa enseña la manera de interactuar de manera segura con las grutas y cuevas, y con el mundo entero que nos rodea. ¡Éste programa dura todo el día y está abierto para personitas de todas las edades y sus familias! Come Color Your World with our Grab & Go Art Kits! Every other Wednesday during Basalt Regional Library's Summer Reading Program we will have art kits available for pickup for teen patrons. Each kit will feature a new art project to try your hand at, including materials and instructions. Available while supplies last.

Sopris Lodge at Carbondale Senior Living will host Death Doula and End-of-Life Consultant Akaljeet Khalsa for its quarterly Death Café on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, from 3:30-5 p.m. The public is invited to visit Sopris Lodge, located at 295 Rio Grande Ave. in Carbondale, to engage in open, respectful conversations on topics related to death and dying. Unlike grief support or counseling groups, Death Cafés aim to normalize discussions about death, helping to reduce fear and raise awareness of life’s fragility.

A member of the National End of Life DOULA Alliance, Khalsa provides both educational and practical services focused on death and dying and helps families navigate the end-of-life process with dignity, honor and grace. Let us know you’re coming to this open studio night where you will have full access to a professional sewing and upholstery workshop and all the tools and supplies that come with it! Not only tools are at your disposal but also the expertise and guidance of owner, Claire Wright. Bring a project you’re just starting or already working on and get the turbo boost you need to level up! Alterations, repairs, or custom sewing projects all welcome. Bring your own machine to practice on or just show up empty handed, all are welcome.
