Visceral Alchemy celebrates transformation in its most personal and enduring form. This exhibition explores the powerful act of creating—or receiving—artwork that lasts a lifetime. Tattooers are constantly creating. They regularly translate deeply personal ideas into original works of art, blending in their own style and aesthetic. Their process is both collaborative and expressive.
Once a symbol of counterculture, tattooing has evolved into a widely embraced and respected art form. Today, many tattooers are formally trained artists who maintain vibrant creative practices beyond their occupation. This exhibition brings together a group of artists to examine the relationship between their professional and personal art forms. Could one exist without the other? This curated invitational offers a rare glimpse into the fine art dimension of tattooing, inviting viewers to consider the lasting impact of this art form and industry.
The opening reception is Friday, May 29 from 5-7pm. **See the artists in action Saturday, May 30, from 11am-6pm with live tattooing out of The Launchpad (walk-up, first come, first-served, 18+). On display through July, 3. The gallery is open weekdays from 10am-5pm.

Gold Luster Ceramics WorkshopWith Ishara Sweeney2-session workshop (must attend both sessions)
Saturday, June 20th, 9:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m. & Sunday, June 21st, 10-11am
Level: All levels (clay experience required)$100/person ($70 registration + $30 materials fee)
In this workshop, you’ll learn several techniques for applying real gold luster to your ceramic work. Metal lusters are applied as an overglaze, meaning they are painted onto fully glaze-fired pieces and then fired again in a low-temperature firing. During firing, the liquid medium burns away, leaving a thin layer of pure gold fused to the glaze surface. Because lusters require good ventilation, this workshop will take place in our outdoor classroom.
Participants must bring: 3–5 fully glaze-fired, finished pieces ready for luster application. Think mugs, cups, small bowls, bud vases (no plates or tiles due to firing space considerations). We’ll complete a dedicated luster firing at the end of the workshop and gather the following morning again to unload the kiln and review the results together.
Get ready for Zumba with Andrea Orrego
Zumba is a global dance phenomenon that invites the body and spirit into a state of pure, rhythmic connection. Originally inspired by the vibrant dance traditions of Latin America — Salsa, Cumbia, Merengue, and Reggaeton — Zumba has since grown into a dynamic fusion of world rhythms, blending Afrobeat, Bollywood, Bhangra, Belly Dance, Hip Hop, and more into an electrifying celebration of movement.
At its core, Zumba is about intuitive dance expression. Rather than focusing on strict choreography or technical breakdowns, the structure of a Zumba class mirrors the architecture of music itself — simple, repeatable patterns tied to the chorus, verses, and bridges of each song. This approach allows dancers to anticipate transitions naturally, freeing them from the constraints of counting steps and encouraging a deeper, more instinctive relationship with rhythm.
Zumba invites a profound reconnection to the joy of embodied movement: a space where strength meets sensuality, sweat becomes celebration, and music becomes a global language that transcends borders. For seasoned dancers, Zumba offers a refreshing invitation to return to the essence of why we dance — not for perfection, but for expression, connection, and exhilaration. It is a journey through cultures, rhythms, and emotions, all channeled through the most ancient instrument we possess: our own bodies.
All dance levels welcome!
