A monthly gathering of writers who come together at White River Bookstore in Carbondale, where we connect to root ourselves in reflection through storytelling and journaling. Through prompts and meaningful stories, we will explore our beliefs, feelings, empowered actions, sense of belonging, and collective spirit for ourselves, our community, and the world. This is an invitation to slow down, connect, and find stillness and clarity in the act of writing together. Bring your journal and a pen! Donations are optional.

Join Sopris Lodge at Carbondale for "Conversations on Mortality," a welcoming and relaxed space to explore topics around death and dying through thoughtful, meaningful conversation. Led by Death Doula and End-of-Life Consultant Akaljeet Khalsa, this quarterly gathering offers an opportunity for reflection, connection and shared perspectives, fostering greater awareness and more intentional living. Experience the professional Cosecha Textiles Upholstery and Sewing Studio located in the glorious Crystal River Valley just seven miles outside of Carbondale off of Hwy 133.

Let us know you’re coming to this open studio night where you will have full access to a professional sewing and upholstery workshop and all the tools and supplies that come with it! Not only tools are at your disposal but also the expertise and guidance of owner, Claire Wright. Bring a project you’re just starting or already working on and get the turbo boost you need to level up! Alterations, repairs, or custom sewing projects all welcome. Bring your own machine to practice on or just show up empty handed, all are welcome.

Learn practical vocabulary and practice speaking with those who are at a similar skill level. This conversation club will give you the opportunity to gain confidence and have fun while building your Spanish language skills. For those with a beginner to intermediate understanding of Spanish. Meets the first and third Thursdays of each month at the Carbondale Branch Library.

Every first Saturday of the month, dive into a themed story and craft, all while surrounded by the colorful artworks at the Powers Art Center. Starting at 11 a.m., no sign-ups are required!
